ELEVATE YOUR PRESENCE

First Impressions Last. Make Yours Count.

I’m a DC headshot photographer delivering professional portraits that stand out. Through technical skill and a relaxed approach, I create headshots you love. I help professionals in the DC area look their best while feeling at ease, producing images that make the right impression.

CHARISMA

Your LinkedIn profile is often someone’s first handshake. A professional headshot means you’re making strong first impressions 24/7, even while you sleep. When recruiters, clients, or colleagues search for you online, they find someone who looks ready to lead.

PERSONAL BRAND POWER

In today’s digital-first world, your headshot is the cornerstone of your personal brand architecture. It’s not just a photo – it’s a visual statement that echoes across your entire professional ecosystem, from email signatures to board presentations. When your headshot radiates confidence and polish, it amplifies every aspect of your personal brand, making each professional interaction more impactful.

COMPETITIVE EDGE

In DC’s competitive landscape, the difference between landing the opportunity and being overlooked can come down to subtle signals of professionalism. A high-quality headshot separates leaders from followers, showing you invest in excellence at every level.

Studio Headshots

A professional studio headshot is your visual handshake with the world – expertly crafted with precision lighting and artful composition to capture your authentic presence from the shoulders up, transforming a simple portrait into a powerful career asset. No need for a photography studio; I’ll bring the studio to you.

Environmental Headshots

An environmental headshot is a professional portrait captured in your natural workspace or meaningful location, blending polished photography with authentic context to tell a richer story about who you are and the impact you make in your field.

Professional Lifestyle

Professional lifestyle photography brings your company’s culture to life by capturing authentic moments of collaboration, innovation, and connection that unfold within your workspace – from impromptu brainstorming sessions to meaningful client meetings – creating powerful storytelling tools that transform your digital presence and strengthen your employer brand across websites, social channels, and marketing materials.

Portraits

Professional portraiture extends beyond the traditional headshot, creating a more complete visual story through dynamic poses and compositions that showcase your full presence. These fuller-frame images allow for natural gestures and relaxed postures that convey confidence and approachability while maintaining professional polish, giving you versatile images perfect for speaking engagements, author profiles, and anywhere you need to make a lasting impression.

Logistics

My mobile studio brings the DC headshots experience directly to your workplace, eliminating travel time and keeping your team productive. I can transform any space – from conference rooms to private offices – into a professional photo studio with state-of-the-art portable lighting and backdrop system. Whether you need professional headshots for an entire department or just your executive team, my efficient on-site process delivers consistent, high-quality results with minimal disruption to your workday.

A person in a white shirt adjusts a camera on a tripod, embodying the precision of DC Headshot Photography. An orange cable links the camera to a laptop, displaying a blurred image. The bright background fades out of focus, capturing the artistry behind every shot.

Retouching

The best retouching is the kind no one notices. My approach enhances your natural features while maintaining the authentic character that makes you uniquely you. I’ll soften temporary blemishes and reduce distracting elements, but I won’t airbrush away the confidence lines that tell your professional story. Think of it as you on your best day – polished and professional, but still genuinely, confidently yourself.

Questions

Get answers to common questions about your headshots in DC, from what to wear and how to prepare to details about scheduling, pricing, and image delivery.

Yes, I specialize in corporate on-site headshot sessions for Washington DC organizations and I can bring my portable studio setup to your office, minimizing disruption to your workday.

Yes, I offer tiered pricing for group corporate headshots. I’m happy to create a custom quote for your specific team size and needs.

My specialized focus on Washington DC professionals means I understand the unique image needs of those working in government, associations, law, lobbying, and other DC-centric industries. I’ve developed a streamlined process that respects your time while delivering exceptional quality. I’ll capture the perfect balance of approachability and authority that DC professionals need in their visual brand.

I recommend wearing solid colors that complement your skin tone and eye color. Avoid busy patterns, logos, or trendy styles that may look dated quickly. For a traditional look, business attire works well – think blazers, button-downs, and blouses in colors that reflect your industry. If you’re unsure, navy blue, charcoal gray, and deep jewel tones tend to photograph beautifully across all skin tones.

Standard individual sessions typically last 30 minutes. This gives us time to capture a variety of expressions and angles while allowing for outfit changes. Corporate sessions for individuals usually take about 10-15 minutes per person. High volume headshots (“headshot booths”) typically last less than five minutes per person. I respect your time and have streamlined our process to be efficient while still capturing the perfect shot.

While I don’t have in-house hair and makeup artists, I can arrange professional services with some trusted partners for an additional fee. Many clients prefer to do their own makeup for a natural look, but professional makeup can help enhance your features under studio lighting.

Standard delivery time is one week for individual sessions. You’ll receive an online gallery of proofs to select your final images, and once you’ve made your selections, your retouched finals will be delivered within 48 hours. Rush delivery is available for an additional fee, with same-day turnaround possible for urgent needs.

Standard retouching includes skin smoothing, removal of blemishes and minor wrinkles, and color correction. I take a natural approach, ensuring you look like yourself on your best day. I don’t dramatically alter appearances or change fundamental features. If you have specific retouching requests, please discuss them during your session.

Absolutely! All of our packages include full rights for you to use your images across all your professional platforms. Whether it’s social media, your company website, press materials, or speaking engagements, you’re free to use your images however you need for your professional purposes.

-Get a good night’s sleep before your session
-Stay hydrated and avoid alcohol the night before
-Men should shave or trim facial hair the morning of the shoot
-Avoid major haircuts within 3 days of your session
-Bring a small grooming kit (comb, lipstick, powder)
-Wear clothes that fit well and make you feel confident

Your satisfaction is my priority. During your session, we’ll review images as we go to ensure you’re happy with the direction. If you’re still not satisfied with your final images, I offer a reshoot at a reduced rate. However, this rarely happens as I work closely with you throughout the process to capture your best professional image.

While I primarily work on-site at client offices, I do offer outdoor sessions. However, they are weather-dependent and best scheduled in spring or fall.

Yes! We recognize that different industries and roles require different visual approaches. While traditional corporate headshots work well for many DC professionals, we also offer more casual styles for tech and creative industries, authoritative styles for legal and financial sectors, and approachable styles for non-profit and healthcare professionals. During your consultation, we’ll discuss the best approach for your specific industry and role.

After your session, you’ll receive access to a private online gallery with all your best shots. I recommend looking for images where your expression appears natural and engaged, your eyes are clear and focused, and you look confident and approachable. If you’re having trouble deciding, I offer selection assistance where I can help narrow down your options based on professional best practices for your industry.

As a Washington DC photographer, I know that many clients feel nervous about having their photo taken – you’re definitely not alone! I’m experienced in making even the most camera-shy individuals feel comfortable. I’ll guide you through the entire process, offering direction on posing, expression, and positioning. I also take my time to ensure you feel at ease before we begin. Many clients tell me they’re surprised by how painless (and even enjoyable!) the experience turns out to be.

Pricing

Individual headshot sessions are $350 and include three retouched headshots per person. For three to five people, it’s $300/person. For teams of six to nine people, headshots are $250/person. For teams of ten or more, headshots are $150/person. High volume headshots are also available for $300/hr, with each person receiving one photographer-selected un-retouched photo. This “photo booth” option works great for conferences or conventions. Retouching can be added to the high volume package for $500.
