About Chris Ferenzi, DC Headshot Photographer

Meet Chris Ferenzi

I’m a Washington DC headshot photographer with over a decade of experience helping professionals look their best on camera — and actually enjoy the process.

I founded District Headshots Co. with a specific focus in mind: the DC market is unlike anywhere else. The people I photograph aren’t just professionals — they’re lobbyists, association executives, government staffers, attorneys, and nonprofit leaders who need to project credibility and approachability in equal measure. A headshot in this city isn’t just a LinkedIn photo. It’s a first impression that does a lot of work.

How I work

Most of my sessions happen on-site at your office. I bring a complete portable studio — professional lighting, backdrops, the works — directly to you. No commute, no scheduling chaos, no one on your team spending half the day traveling to a studio across town.

Whether I’m photographing one executive or an entire department, my process is the same: make it efficient, make it comfortable, and make sure everyone walks away with a photo they’re genuinely proud of. That last part matters more than most photographers will admit. A technically perfect headshot that the subject hates is a failed headshot.

Why DC professionals choose District Headshots Co.

I’ve spent 10+ years learning what makes a professional portrait work — not just technically, but psychologically. Most people are uncomfortable in front of a camera. My job is to solve that problem quickly. I give clear, easy direction, I shoot at a pace that lets people settle in, and I check results together as we go so there are no surprises at delivery.

The result is headshots that look polished without looking stiff — which is exactly the balance DC professionals need.
